Frequently asked questions.

How RFQs are routed, what verification means, who pays what, and what happens when something goes wrong.

For buyers

What does it cost to buy through Jetvor?
Nothing. Raising requests for quotes, running AOG requests, comparing offers and placing orders are all free for buyers, with no limits and no card required.
How is a request for quote different from just emailing suppliers?
One request reaches every relevant verified supplier at once, and each of them answers against the same structure: part number, condition, quantity, lead time, price. That makes responses genuinely comparable instead of arriving in eight different formats. Accepting one quote automatically declines the others and creates the order record.
What happens when I accept a quote?
An order is created immediately, capturing the line items and prices exactly as agreed. Competing quotes are declined automatically. Both parties can then track the order through confirmation, fulfilment, shipping and delivery, with a full audit trail of every change.
How does an AOG request work?
An aircraft-on-ground request carries a response deadline in hours rather than days, and is routed to suppliers immediately. If the window expires without an accepted quote, the request closes automatically so nobody is left waiting on a response that is not coming.
Does Jetvor guarantee that a part is airworthy?
No, and no marketplace honestly can. Jetvor verifies that suppliers hold valid trade licences and recognised quality approvals, and gives them the means to attach certification and traceability documentation. Determining that a specific part is acceptable for a specific aircraft remains the responsibility of the buyer's accountable technical personnel.

For suppliers

What do I need to sell on Jetvor?
A valid trade licence and at least one recognised quality approval: AS9120, AS9100, FAA Part 145, EASA Part 145 or ISO 9001. You upload these during onboarding and our team reviews them before your listings go live.
When am I charged commission?
Only when an order completes. Quotes that do not win cost nothing. Cancelled and refunded orders attract no commission. Commission is invoiced in a single monthly bill rather than per order.
What happens if one of my certifications expires?
We warn you 30, 14 and 7 days before the expiry date. If a required approval lapses, verified status is withdrawn and your listings stop appearing in search until a renewal is approved.
Can I list parts without showing a price?
Yes. Listings can be quote-only, which is the norm for rotables and higher-value components where price depends on condition, certification and quantity.
Can I bulk upload my inventory?
Yes. There is a spreadsheet importer that accepts an XLSX file, previews what it will create, and reports any rows it could not read before anything is committed.

Accounts and security

I have forgotten my password.
Use the reset link on the sign-in page. You will receive a single-use link valid for 30 minutes. Resetting a password signs out every existing session, which is deliberate, if the reset was prompted by a compromise, leaving other sessions alive would defeat the point.
How is my data protected?
Passwords are stored as salted scrypt hashes and are never recoverable. Sessions are recorded server-side and can be revoked individually. Traffic is encrypted in transit. Full detail is in our privacy policy.
Who can see my quotes?
Only the buyer who raised the request. Competing suppliers cannot see each other's pricing. A buyer sees the total value of an order but not the commission a supplier pays, which is between the supplier and Jetvor.
